Daniel Bellau

Daniel is a Corporate Finance Partner and Head of Corporate.

Daniel advises on all aspects of corporate law, specialising in public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and fundraisings and equity capital markets transactions including flotations and secondary offerings on the Official List, AIM and ISDX Markets.

Daniel also advises on partnership matters, debt finance transactions and restructurings. Daniel has particular experience in the real estate, TMT, hotel and leisure sectors and his clients include entrepreneurs, SMEs, funds and Nomads and Brokers.

In the Legal 500 2017 Daniel is described as ‘analytical’, ‘generous and very approachable’ and praised for being ‘extremely service-oriented, very commercial and excellent at identifying the key areas of negotiation and risk’.

AIM

  • Palace Capital plc: Advised on the acquisition of Gregory Projects Limited, the owner of the Broad Street Plaza leisure asset in Halifax for £24.2m building another significant leisure asset into this longstanding client’s portfolio, a deal which called on the firm’s corporate experience in the leisure and real estate sectors.
  • Palace Capital plc: Advised on the acquisition of O&H Northampton Limited bringing the popular Northampton Sol Central leisure complex into the client’s portfolio and building on the success of the client’s acquisition of Property Investment Holdings Limited a year earlier.
  • Falanx Group Limited: Acted for Falanx Group Limited, the AIM quoted security and risk management consultancy, on its £2.64million fundraise through a placing and subscription of 18,878,564 new ordinary shares.
  • Hybridan LLP and Cornhill Capital Limited: Acted for joint brokers Hybridan LLP and Cornhill Capital Limited on the £6m placing for MX Oil plc – the AIM quoted oil and gas investment company.

M&A

  • Ingenious Media: Advised on the sale of the Love Supreme Festival, the Live Jazz festival by Ingenious and Jazz FM.
  • Impresario Festivals plc: Acted for Impresario Festivals plc on its acquisition of a 61% stake in Waxarch Limited, the company which operates London’s premier music festival for up and coming talent, the Field Day Festival.
  • Hitched Limited: Advising the sellers on the sale of the leading online wedding services website, hitched.co.uk, to Immediate Media London Limited.
  • Shareholders of Infermed Limited: Advised the founding shareholders of InferMed Limited (was initially formed as a joint venture between Cancer Research UK and Integral Solutions Limited) on the successful sale of the entire share capital of the company to RELX (formerly Reed Elsevier).
