Ben Kilshaw

Ben is a Partner in the Real Estate Team and heads up the Construction Team.

Ben has a wide range of experience in commercial property and non-contentious construction law. Ben acts for property investors, developers and occupiers. He has particular experience in the leisure sector acting for restaurant and hotel operators. He also advises funders in relation to construction matters.

Ben negotiates and advises on building contracts, professional appointments and associated documentation in relation to construction matters and acts on the grant of leases, sales and purchases of commercial property.

Ben joined Hamlins in 2002.

  • Advised citizenM and Park Plaza on three separate projects in connection with the building contract and appointments for the construction of new hotels in central London.
  • Acts for Leon Restaurants Limited in acquiring leases as part of its brand roll out and also acts for a number of other restaurant operators on the property aspects of their expansion.
  • Advised on the construction documentation for a number of new residential led schemes in London.
