Partner Promotion at Hamlins LLP

The partners are delighted to announce the promotion of Faiza Ahmad to partner at Hamlins LLP.

Faiza joined the firm in 2013 as a specialist in the firm’s real estate litigation team which is led by Kate Andrews. Faiza deals with a wide range of property disputes and advises in relation to both commercial and residential property on matters such as business lease renewals, landlord and tenant disputes, boundary disputes, evicting trespassers, service charge disputes, possession / forfeiture and telecoms advice. She is also specialised in dealing with complex enfranchisement matters under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1993 and Leasehold Reform Act 1967, with over 8 years of experience in this niche area, including lease extensions and collective enfranchisement claims. The firm continues to see an increasing number of complex and high value instructions in this area.

This promotion adds to the significant growth in the firm’s partnership in the 2014/2015 financial year during which the firm was joined by leading sports partner Mark Gay from Burges Salmon, debt finance partner Charles Bezzant from Reed Smith, litigation partner Amanda Burge from Enyo Law and tax partner Fionnuala Lynch from Cubism Law.

Commenting on Faiza’s appointment, Nigel Mason, Managing Partner said: “Faiza is a superb solicitor and valued member of the firm’s property litigation practice which continues to go from strength to strength. This is a well-deserved appointment as the firm continues to grow both organically through promotions as well as through targeted strategic hires.”
