The advertising and sale of counterfeit goods is increasing, causing leading brands, such as Birkenstock, to take proactive steps to protect its brand.

Amazon, and any third party merchants selling on their website, will no longer be authorised to sell products from the German-based footwear company on the online marketplace from 1st January 2017.
