How to Sell Your Business26th June 2013
Hamlins LLP together with BlueBox Corporate Finance, a business founded by James Caan are delighted to invite you to attend a free seminar at Hamlins on Thursday 11th July.
An increasing number of businesses fail to sell when taken to market by advisers. According to Harvard Business Review study, more than 70% of private business sales “fall through” before reaching financial close.
The BlueBox team will be providing invaluable advice for business owners contemplating an exit within the next 2-3 years, or even sooner. They will explain their new “structured” concept in corporate finance and the ways in which proper planning in advance of a sale can dramatically increase the chances of a deal completing whilst, at the same time, improving the price that you actually receive.
Joining our expert panel is founder of Language Line, Bruce Cadbury, who will be sharing his experiences of the sale process and will be available to answer your questions.
Daniel Bellau and Matthew Pryke from Hamlins will be providing a focused session on the key legal issues that relate to a sale with a particular focus on the IP aspects, and what a business owner should be reviewing in advance of their exit.
Daniel Bellau is Head of Corporate at Hamlins and an expert in corporate finance. He has a wealth of experience in advising clients on the full spectrum of issues relating to the company sale process. Daniel has particular experience in the real estate, TMT, hotel and leisure sectors and his clients include entrepreneurs, SMEs, funds and Nomads and Brokers.
Matthew Pryke is a Partner at Hamlins and an IP specialist. He has advised numerous companies on IP issues at all stages of growth, from start up through to flotation and sale. He has a solid client following in the technology sector as well as those from creative and entertainment industries such as television, modelling and sports.
The seminar, held at our Hamlins office in Regent Street will start at 9.30am and will finish promptly at 12.30pm. Please see the attached invitation for full details.
