Hamlins expands its Real Estate Finance offering19th January 2015
Recently appointed partner, Charles Bezzant, will be heading up the Hamlins Real Estate Finance team. Charles’ practice covers all of the finance aspects of property investment and development transactions.
Charles’ appointment adds to an already strong Real Estate Finance offering at Hamlins and brings a greater focus on work with lenders in this area. His clients include Bank Leumi, with whom he has worked principally on hotel and residential development loans; Investec Bank Plc, with whom Charles has had a strong relationship for 10 years, Barclays, Helaba and other commercial lenders.
The existing Real Estate Finance team at Hamlins has recently acted on significant finance deals for key clients Structadene, Palace Capital Plc, The Pears Group Fund and others.
Charles, who is recognised by both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, has been praised for his no-nonsense, straightforward approach and his technical expertise.
The Real Estate Finance team at Hamlins is supported by a wider team of corporate and real estate lawyers with experience of finance within property transactions. The team is happy to help with investment or development facilities, large or small, straightforward or complex, onshore or off and bilateral or syndicated. The team also has experience of restatements, restructuring, recovery and real estate insolvency work.
Nigel Mason, Managing Partner, says:
“We are very pleased to have attracted a lawyer of Charles’ calibre. He will be a great benefit to our Real Estate Finance offering. The Real Estate Finance market in London is really taking off again currently, and Hamlins is well placed to be very active in that space.”
