We have an excellent reputation with our clients as evidenced by the many long standing relationships and our willingness to deal openly with any issues that may occasionally arise. We also arrange staff secondments, which assist us in understanding our clients’ businesses and assist clients in understanding the way in which we operate. We use electronic billing and secure messaging systems with clients, thereby minimising our usage of paper, toners and similar consumable items. We shall continue to work with clients on joint fund-raising and charitable projects.
We treat our suppliers fairly and ethically and ensure that we adhere to contractual terms. We discuss with major suppliers their own CSR policies. Wherever possible we source goods locally to minimise transportation costs and purchase fair trade products.
We are acutely conscious of the environmental impact of our business and take steps wherever possible to ensure that we make appropriate choices in our purchase of supplies such as paper and other stationery, toners, plastics etc. Old IT equipment and furniture is always disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. We introduced a mains fed water chilling system, to dispense with the use of bottled water in our meeting and hospitality rooms.
We support The Nick Cotton Foundation for brain tumour research. Nick was a long-standing colleague who lost his battle against cancer in 2013.
Hamlins also supports the London Legal Support Trust and takes part in its Great Legal Bake and London Legal Walk raising funds to provide free legal advice and access to justice for those in need.
