A reassuring insight into the UK property market by Richard Tice

On 8th March 2017 the Hamlins Property Network hosted a joint event with Allsop, the leading property auction house in the UK; ‘Trump and the Opportunities for the UK Property Market’. The event was attended by over 70 clients and partners who came to network and hear from industry expert and prominent Brexiteer Richard Tice of Quidnet Capital.

Richard provided some rousing words for those in the property sector; that against the backdrop of an uncertain world of corporate, sovereign and electoral risk, the UK is going to be an even more attractive hub for global investors.

Recognising that the UK market is recognised to be the most liquid, transparent in the world, those outside the UK will be reassured that they can ‘park their money’ in this safe haven.

Richard believes that the industrial sector will continue to be the ‘darling of the UK property sector’ where yields are at their highest. In addition student accommodation will continue to thrive and although retail is tough at the moment, there will always be opportunities.

Many left the breakfast, buoyed up by Tice’s insights, taking on board his advice that there are always going to be risks, it’s how one responds to them that assures commercial success.
