September saw the results of the Legal 500 being published. The Legal 500 is the most widely recognised in-depth survey of the UK legal market and is re-knowned for its judgement on law firm capabilities.
In summary our Real Estate team have been promoted up a tier in three key sections: Commercial Property, Investment and Retail. Whilst our two other main teams Brand Management and Media and Entertainment have also been ranked. Laurence Gilmore, Partner in Entertainment and Media has been recognised again as a leading individual in music litigation.

Hamlins LLP’s combined media, marketing and IP practice recruited Christopher Hutchings and solicitor Callum Galbraith from M Law in 2010. The team advised on trade mark protection and format rights for the Monty Python franchise throughout Europe; acts for musician Bruce Springsteen; and advised Matt Lucas and David Walliams on the Little Britain brand. Laurence Gilmore and practice head Philip Herbert are recommended.
