With effect from 2 May 2006, Hamlins became a limited liability partnership. This is a step that many law firms are taking in order to carry on business in a more up to date corporate style of providing services.
From this date, all new work will be accepted on behalf of the LLP (to whom existing cases will be transferred) but the partners and assistants dealing with the matter will remain exactly the same.
Nigel Mason, the new Managing Partner of Hamlins LLP comments: “this is a major step forward for us as a business as previously our partnership had a fixed duration. We now have in place a solid foundation for further expansion and development with a proper corporate type management structure”.
